BOOKINGS are open for NO-XRAY
BREAST & BONE Screening :DITI the soft tactile elasticity SureTouch scan- available by appointment at least weekly on a Tuesday afternoon
and the CUBA ultrasound bone density risk scan- available most workhours by appointment..east scan.
These respectively give accurate breast lump anatomy maps,
and the Ultrasound Bone Scan measures fracture risk at all ages. DS D SURETOUCH
ALL who want safe painless breast cancer screening ie imaging- mammography eg those with breast implants; obesity; breast lump(s), swelling or pain; bad family history of / concern about cancer; & women using any HRT- sexhormone replacement. And DITI to monitor many other diseases eg cardio/vascular; fibromyalgia; infection; melanoma; other cancer; autoimmune; arthritis.
DTI is simply an infrared camera HEATSCAN Photo. It measures physiological ie normal function – temperature – not anatomy- by normal bloodflow.. So it will not show up a lump or fat or fibrosis which is benign- that is not invasive, that has low bloodflow.- only inflammatory raised bloodflow eg (pre)cancer or infection will show as increased temperature.
There are no contra-indications- it is non-xray, no-contact, no-radiation. non- invasive – no probes, instruments,.
DITI and SureTouch are perfectly safe even in pregnancy.
Since DITI detects precancer bloodflow increase years earlier than anatomic eg xray mammogram ie before a lump forms, it may be early enough for diet, lifestyle and supplements to avoid cancer or or allow it to be easily treated. The DITI camera and SureTouch have been passed by the Department of Health; the Technicians certified by overseas authorities; and the procedures approved by overseas first-world authorities, and patients and professionals in RSA.
Like DITI, SureTouch mapping is increasingly validated.http://www.iaeng.org/publication/WCE2011/WCE2011_pp2663-2666.pdf
The Cost for DITI SCAN: whole body is R1000 but
bust alone R600; upper or lower body is R 800,
SURETOUCH Breast & Bonescans cost R300 each- whereas such Xray scans cost about R1000 each.
PROCEDURE FOR NO-XRAY SCANS: Your visit starts with your medical history being recorded.
The first scan – pictures of the interest area-will be your baseline scan as comparison for future ones.
Allow 30 mins for your visit.
. Specifically DITI and SureTouch lack the risks of Xray mammography-crushing and irradiation possibly causing or spreading cancer. Remember that xray damage accumulates and is classified carcinogenic.
.If the breast thermogram or SoftTouch shows shows (in perhaps 1 in 10 women) any suspicious changes, doctor will advise you whether you simply need to adjust diet, lifestyle, HRT to reverse the changes;
or whether further tests are indicated eg DITI, SoftTouch, ultrasound. It will then be up to you as to whether to have xray mammogram.
XRAY BREAST IMAGING? New just-published long-term studies from a dozen leading countries of xray screening mammography of apparently well breasts in women not at family risk again suggest that Xray scans may actually increase the risks of cancer and death, unnecessary biopsies, overdiagnosis, concern, surgery -mastectomies, and treatment of early breast cancer – which in many cases may never present during a lifetime.
And Xray scan cannot image well many dense breasts in estrogen – dominant women eg before menopause, on estrogen or overweight. Thus some experts now argue that xray screening mammography should be scrapped. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/aug/02/breast-cancer-screeningBy contrast, DITI & now
DITI and Mechanical Tactile imaging, and ultrasound bonescan have become the initial screening and followup of disease. Some believe that DITI should start as young as age 20yrs as a baseline for risk, and bonescan in children, although this has not yet been proven in studies.
Early and regular DITI / SureTouch screening may reduce risk of overdiagnosis, over-treatment, and risk of cancer..

Jenni asks for more details of the Sure Touch Tactile Imaging.
thanks Jenni,
see http://healthspanlife.wordpress.com/?s=mammography
and especially
http://healthspanlife.wordpress.com/2011/04/25/world-cancer-day-does-not-mean-world-invasive-cancer-screening/
for the growing data against xray mammography and for thermomammography and tactile digital Sure Touch mammography.
The first controlled trial was done by Prof Clive Griffith at Newcastle-on-Tyne and is being published full text next month. we are not at liberty to distribute the draft paper received early this year until it is published, but can show it to you. The abstract is on line.
The review from prof Cary Kaufman’s team at Univ Washington at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2613364/?tool=pubmed and from Welman’s team at Harvard http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed detail all the mammography methods including tactile imaging as with eg the Sure Touch model.
as the refs on http://www.healthspanlife.wordpress.com show, it is in use all over the world by pioneers..
kind regards,
NMC
